Phoebus (Hampton, VA) linebacker recruit Matt Wright has helped his team to a 2-0 start in 2005. Playing defensive end as well as linebacker, the 6-2, 215-pound star estimates that he has racked up close to 20 tackles including seven tackles-for-loss and three sacks. He has added a forced fumble as well. At this point, Wright is concentrating more on his senior season than his college decision.
“I’m trying to focus on this team, because I think we really need it,” Wright said. “I have to be there for the team. I’m not focused on colleges right now.”
