A major part of Suitland High School’s (Forestville, MD) state champion squad last season was Navorro Bowman. An inside linebacker on defense, the 6-0, 218-pound rising senior racked up 165 tackles and forced five fumbles. On offense, he rushed for 1,200 yards and 22 touchdowns. The talent is obviously there, but his leadership qualities as well as his heart are several more reasons why many, many Division 1A programs have extended scholarship offers.
“Schools like what I do,” Bowman said. Most schools are recruiting him to play linebacker. “They like my whole style of play. I’m an athlete and I just enjoy playing the game. I play hard every down and every play. I play with a lot of heart and I have a will to win. You can see that by our state championship last year.”
