A top in-state recruit on Virginia Tech's campus this weekend was Washington Post defensive player of the year Cordarrow Thompson. Thompson, a previous Syracuse commitment who recently opened up his recruitment after the Syracuse coaching change, discussed his trip to Blacksburg this weekend.
"It was wonderful," the 6-3, 312-pound defensive tackle recruit said. "I had fun there. I was hosted by CP (Carlton Powell). I got along with him real well. He showed me around the campus and introduced me to the players."
