Randallstown (MD) defensive end Melvin Alaeze - a 5-star prospect that is, without a doubt, a top target for Virginia Tech in the 2005 recruiting class - made an official visit to Blacksburg last weekend. According to Randallstown Head Coach Albert Howard, Alaeze was impressed by the experience.
"He said he really liked it," Howard said. "I think he really enjoyed the visit. He was impressed with the individuality they showed him. The capper was being able to spend personal time with the people there. He saw them practice for the bowl game, and he spent a lot of time with Coach Beamer and Coach Ball. I got the impression that there were some things that he liked better at Virginia Tech that he didn't see already from other schools that are recruiting him. It was a favorable visit."
