Derrick McPhearson, a star wide receiver prospect out of DeMatha Catholic High School (Hyattsville, MD) in the 2004 class, enrolled at Fork Union Military Academy this Fall when he fell short of qualifying academically. McPhearson signed with the University of Florida in February of 2004, but has re-opened his recruitment following the dismissal of Ron Zook as Head Coach.

“I’ve opened my recruitment back up,” McPhearson said. “Florida is still high on my list. It’s hard to say. They are still probably at the top of the list. I mean they are the team I signed with out of high school so that is probably where my heart is leaning towards right now, but I want to see what else is out there for me too.”
