Ashley High School (Wilmington, NC) wide receiver Geron James has used his outstanding size (6-4) and speed (4.41 in the 40) combination to have an excellent senior season. In 2004, James has caught 31 passes for 730 yards and 14 touchdowns in helping Ashley to a 7-4 regular season record.
His abilities have helped him earn scholarship offers from Division I-A schools including East Carolina, North Carolina, N.C. State, South Carolina and Virginia Tech. Of the programs involved, James says his “top 2” schools are N.C. State and Virginia Tech. Though he hasn’t made any official visits yet, he may be close to setting one with one of his top programs.
