Fort Hill (Cumberland, MD) defensive back recruit Andre Pope suffered a knee injury in the 3rd game of the year and will miss the rest of his senior season. Pope, who tore an ACL, took the first step towards recovery yesterday.
"He had surgery yesterday on the torn ACL," Fort Hill Head Coach Barry Lattimer said. "By February of next year he expects to be back in full tilt. He knows it's going to take extensive rehab, but he also understands his goal which is to make it on the next level. He's just hoping some schools are still interested in him. He seems optimistic right now. Our physician, who performed the surgery, is optimistic too."
