It was shortly after Christmas last year when Zaronn Cann saw his junior season end abruptly with a knee injury after averaging 19 points and nine rebounds in the games he played. Cann is still on the road to recovery. He missed the entire spring and summer and is still not quite 100% healthy.
“At first when it happened, I was real depressed and down about missing the rest of the season and not being able to be out there with my teammates, especially when I knew I would miss the entire season,” Cann told TechSideline.com. “I tore three ligaments in my knee — the ACL, MCL and Meniscus — and after the season ended I was okay until summer when coaches can see you. Then I got a little depressed again because I knew that I was missing out on an opportunity and I was unable to play then.”
