Lakewood (Sumter, SC) tailback/cornerback J.C. Neal was recently named the #4 prospect in the state of South Carolina and the #24 running back in the nation by Superprep. With his blazing 4.37 40 speed, it’s no wonder the 6-0, 183-pound blue-chipper received these accolades. It’s also no wonder he has received so many calls from college coaches in September.
“One day about 50 people called,” Neal said, laughing. “I talk to all of the ones I get a chance to talk to. I did talk to Virginia Tech. I talked to Coach Wiles. He was trying to get me to come up to one of their games. I would like to try and get up for a game. He asked me what I want to play, and said they are thinking about wide receiver.”
