6-4, 250-pound Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA) quarterback/safety Greg Boone is anxious to get his senior season underway. Boone looks forward to showing just how much he has improved skill-wise and leadership-wise over the off-season, and believes his team will be in contention for a state title.
“I’ve worked on my footwork and how to be a leader,” Boone said. “I did a lot of drills this summer [to help with my footwork]. The camps helped me see where I stood with other players and taught me what I needed to improve. [In terms of being a leader] I’m more of a vocal leader. I’ll let my teammate’s know when they aren’t doing something right. I try to correct mistakes before they happen.
