This off-season, Burns (Lawndale, NC) wide receiver Josh Briscoe feels he has improved his ability to read defenses and his speed. He is playing a different type of receiver position which helps him learn exactly how to read the safeties. And during a camp held in his home county, Briscoe says he ran a blazing 4.37 in the 40.
“Probably reading defenses,” Briscoe said when asked what areas have improved for him this off-season. “We have a new position on offense where I read and react to what the safety does. That’s helped me a lot. My speed is back too. I feel I’ve improved my speed. There was an unofficial camp this summer hosted by former players from the county who went to the NFL. I was timed at 4.37 in the 40 on grass. It was hand-timed.”
