A versatile player at 6-5, 190 pounds, Mamadi Diane ’s athleticism enables him to play many positions for DeMatha Catholic. Diane has played the shooting guard, small forward and power forward spots for Head Coach Mike Jones. In addition to his outstanding athletic abilities, Diane has impressed his coach with an excellent work ethic over the past two seasons.
"Mamadi's biggest asset is his athleticism,” DeMatha Catholic Head Coach Mike Jones said. “He's a very good athlete. He gets a lot of ooh's and ahh's from the crowd. The biggest thing he's improved is his outside shooting. When he first played for us as a sophomore, he shot only 20 percent from 3-point range. Last year he shot over 40 percent and that was from him busting his hump to improve. He's continuing to work on his ballhandling and defense."
