6-5, 335 pound Marques Slocum will resume his summer unofficial visits next week, when he travels to North Carolina and North Carolina State, respectively. The “Southern swing” will be the first of many visits throughout the rest of the summer for Slocum, who is one of the top defensive line prospects in the country.
“On the 12th [of July], we’re going to make a Southern swing to UNC and NC State,” Slocum said. He's making the visits with several other players and coaches. “On the 19th [of July], we’re going down to Miami. I’ll try and go to Florida and Georgia Tech around that time also. After that, we’re going on a big Midwest swing. We’re going to Michigan, Notre Dame, Iowa, Purdue, all those schools.”
