UVa picked up a major commitment today, when Plainfield (NJ) offensive tackle Eugene Monroe pledged to the 'Hoos. Monroe visited UVa this weekend for Saturday's Junior Day and committed today.
"I called Coach D'Onofrio and told him I wanted to come," Monroe said. "I think they had a gut feeling I might commit by the way I was on the trip this weekend. I almost committed there but decided to wait a little bit. They were definitely excited. When I told Coach London he dropped the phone and was screaming 'whoooo.'"
