This off-season, Phoebus running back Elan Lewis is focused on improving his speed, getting stronger in his upper body, and making sure his team is ready for next season. So far so good on all fronts, as he is looking forward to his final high school football season.

“It’s going good,” Lewis said of the off-season. “The team’s getting stronger. Everything’s going good. I’ve been working on my speed. I want to get faster before next season. Right now I run a 4.5 in the 40. My goal is to get down to a 4.4 flat. My brother knows some stuff about speed training, so he’s helping me. I also want to get stronger in my upper body. I’m getting stronger. I feel way stronger in the upper body now.”
