Virginia Tech is on a bit of a roll with verbal commitments, having now received two this week. The most recent being tonight from Kellam High School (Virginia Beach, VA) linebacker Demetrius Taylor . Taylor, a 6-1, 220 pound linebacker prospect who runs a 4.5 in the 40, chose the Hokies over offers from Duke and Kent and serious interest from Notre Dame, Maryland, and Syracuse among others.
"I committed to Virginia Tech," Taylor said. "I decided about a week ago. I chose Virginia Tech because they were the first one to offer. They saw something in me that's taken the other schools a long time to figure out."
