For Kenny Jefferson, his decision to attend Virginia Tech came down to several factors. One of the top ones was Running Backs Coach Billy Hite, who served as Jefferson’s primary recruiter.
“One of the reasons I chose Virginia Tech was for the fact that Coach Hite was my recruiter and he will be my position coach when I get there,” Jefferson said. “The fact that Coach Hite recruited me meant that they really wanted me. I think some schools recruit you with coaches who coach different positions than what they want you to play, then you might get there and the position coach doesn’t like you.
