Everette Brown played his first two seasons (his freshman and sophomore years) of varsity football at the defensive end position. With teams consistently running away from the standout end’s side of the field at the beginning of his junior season, Beddingfield (Wilson, NC) Head Coach Joe Nelson decided to move Brown to middle linebacker.
The move would pay off. Brown tallied 106 tackles last season, including seven quarterback sacks. With an excellent season, Brown showed his versatility and overall ability to play the game by being extremely effective at a new position.
