One missing piece of Boo Williams’ AAU squad hopes to return to action within the next few weeks. Brian Gilmore, a native of Chesapeake, Virginia, has missed the past three events due to a sprained ankle. The injury, which has hampered him since last summer, kept him out of last weekend’s Southern Invitational.
“I got hurt at Boo’s tournament a few weeks ago, and came down on my ankle real bad on a kids’ foot,” Gilmore said. “I sat out at Charlie Weber and then they went to Houston. I stayed home and rehabbed. It feels good. I’ve practiced this week and have been running on it, but Boo said to wait until New Orleans. I’m feeling good. I wish I could play but Boo just said lets get it straight and hopefully this is the last of it.”
