Montrose Christian (Rockville, MD) center Tunji Soroye is expected to fax in his Letter of Intent to UVa within the next several days. Soroye made a verbal commitment to UVa last November and intends to follow through on his commitment as soon as today.
"He's going to do it this week," Montrose Christian Assistant Coach David Atkins said. "He did a good thing by waiting to sign until the Spring. It gives a lot of control to the kids in case something happens such as a coach leaving the program. Tunji really likes Coach Gillen. He wants to be developed by Coach Gillen. We spoke to [Virginia Athletic Director] Craig Littlepage and we feel good about Coach Gillen's position."
