As a junior, Scotland High School (Laurinburg, NC) quarterback Cameron Sexton threw for close to 1,900 yards and 16 touchdowns with only six interceptions, completing around 60 percent of his passes. A dual-threat quarterback, he added five touchdowns rushing. With his production, it would be tough to know Sexton has only played football for three years.
“He never played football until the ninth grade,” Scotland Head Coach Mark Barnes said. “That hasn’t hurt him though. He made a lot of improvements between his sophomore and junior seasons, and he’s continued to grow.”
