UVa picked up their third verbal commitment for the 2005 recruiting class, when Broad Run High School (Ashburn, VA) tight end/defensive end Alex Field committed to the Cavaliers. Field chose the Cavaliers as soon as he received an official scholarship offer.
"Yes Alex did commit to UVa," Broad Run Head Coach Ken Belchik. "He was getting some interest from other schools, but he wanted to play for Virginia. He's always been a big-time Virginia fan."
