Merritt Island High School (FL) defensive end Mike Mangold was a verbal commitment to Virginia Tech heading into this weekend's official visit to the University of Florida. Following the visit, it appears he is considering the Gators as well.
"Mike came back today from Florida, and he said 'Coach, I'm not sure what I'm going to do'," Merritt Island Head Coach Paul Friel said. "He said the visit to Florida went great, but he also said he still really likes Virginia Tech. He said he had a great time on both visits. I would say right now he's still committed to Virginia Tech, but I would also say he is wavering a little."
