UVA has received a commitment from Eleanor Roosevelt(Greenbelt, MD) DB/RB prospect Thierrien "Bud" Davis. Davis becomes the 14th prospect to commit to the 'Hoos for the 2004 recruiting class.
"Yeah, he called me about 12:30 today and he was wrapping up his visit to Virginia," Eleanor Roosevelt Head Coach Rick Houchens said. "He told me then that he had gone ahead and committed to Virginia. I think it was just the total overall package that Bud liked. They just had the right stuff. He felt Coach Groh is just the right coach for him. They have such a strong academic record there, and Bud's such a great student as well. Also he'll have a chance to play in the ACC and play against some of his teammates. He knows he has a chance to compete for early playing time, which is another big factor. Another thing is that UVA is just two hours from home.
