West Charlotte High School (NC) star Rod Council today did what many expected him to do all week long, and made a verbal commitment to Virginia Tech. Council, who is one of the top cornerbacks in the East, picked the Hokies over Virginia.

He made his choice known today during the Shrine Bowl media day.
