Earlier this week, Washington Township (Sewell, NJ) lost to Eastern Regional (Voorhees, NJ) 14-7 in the South, Group 4 state championship game. Despite the loss, Washington Township had an excellent season, finishing 9-3 overall and defeating Shawnee in the playoffs. Shawnee was the team that defeated them in last year's championship game.
"My brother will have to get a ring for us," D'Imperio said with a laugh. His brother is a current sophomore. "We had a good season. We basically lost the championship game on two deep passes. They had a good quarterback though, and he played well."
