Don Bosco Prep’s (NJ) Brian Toal is proving this season why he is rated one of the top prospects in the country. Through nine games, the 6-2, 225 pound linebacker has 12 ½ sacks (he didn’t know how many tackles), one interception, and two blocked punts. Playing running back on offense, he has rushed for 1,020 yards and has scored 30 touchdowns. These statistics look even more impressive considering Toal has not played an entire game so far this year.
Don Bosco, ranked #2 in the country by USA Today, has defeated opponents by an average of 42.6 points per game. They are undefeated (9-0) heading into this week’s regular season contest versus Paramus Catholic, and will face Bergen Catholic next week in the Parochial 4 State Championship game.
