Jared Fagan and his Westlake teammates came up short in the Maryland 3A South Regional title game last week, falling to Lackey 14-13. In the final quarter, Fagan scored the go-ahead 19-yard touchdown run with less than two minutes left on the clock. The extra point failed, and Lackey drove down for the winning score and extra point.
"It was disappointing, but that's what happens," Fagan said. "We lost to Lackey twice this year, and those are our only losses. We still had a pretty good season though."
