During an interview in early September, Hargrave Military Academy cornerback Philip Brown spoke about his focus and determination to get to the University of Virginia.
“I wish I was here [at Hargrave] a long time ago, and I’m just trying to make the most of it right now," said Brown in the earlier interview. "I’m just in a good situation. I’m glad that I was able to get a second chance. Coach Prunty and all the coaches have really pushed me and I’m definitely a better player than I was in high school. I’m just happy to be here, getting my academics squared away. I’ve been really focused on that. Whenever I’m not practicing, I’m studying. Whenever I’m not studying, I’m practicing."
