Last weekend, Blacksburg HS (VA) standout Sam Wheeler became the fourth player to commit to Virginia Tech for the 2004 class. He committed on Saturday, which was the day when he received his official offer from the Hokies.
Wheeler is a 6-4, 235 pound prospect with good athletic ability. As a junior, he made 103 tackles from the inside linebacker position. As a fullback on offense, he is a crushing blocker who Head Coach David Crist says has “improved every season since he came here.”
