Winslow Township (NJ) defensive tackle Chris Young is ready for practice to end and for his senior season to start. The 6-4, 270 pound Young believes his team can compete for a state championship this year, and looks forward to seeing his hard work over the summer paying dividends in an official game.
“I’ve been in the weight room almost every day this summer,” said Young, who is athletic enough to play linebacker or defensive end but must play defensive tackle because of his size. “I feel stronger and quicker. We’re looking pretty good in our two-a-day practices right now and I’ll think we’ll be in contention. I’m just looking forward to the start of the season.”
