According to Betsy Vernaglia, Lutheran (Orange, CA) wide receiver/linebacker Anthony Vernaglia has chosen Notre Dame over Virginia. Penn State and Southern California were both in the mix as well, however the decision came down to the Irish and the Cavaliers.
"He did choose Notre Dame," said Mrs. Vernaglia. "He's very relieved. Everyone did a great job recruiting him, but he said he just woke up one day and realized that was where he wanted to go.
