Kecougtan linebacker Jerod Mayo is using his summer time off to the fullest, taking visits to prospective colleges. He has been to the University of Virginia, where he took in one day of the camp but did not participate.

He visited Virginia Tech earlier this week for a one-day trip. He returned impressed and slightly surprised by what he saw.
