Ahmad Brooks and his Hargrave Military teammates took on Virginia Tech's JV team Friday afternoon in Lane Stadium in Blacksburg and came away winners, 12-6. Brooks tallied eight tackles and two pass breakups in the win.

This one was a defensive struggle in the first half, and the Hokies took a 3-0 half time lead on a 46-yard field goal by freshman Nic Schmitt. Hargrave's offense finally came to life when quarterback Oliver Taylor hit wide receiver Chris Baker for two long touchdowns within a two-and-a-half minute span.
