I was sitting about 7 rows back and the head injury actually occurred earlier in the match. While he still had the lead he and Crook went out of bounds close to the UVA coaches and still on the mat, he looked over and pointed to his head. When he appeared to be gassed he was actually trying to clear his head. The criticism shouldn't be that it appeared fake. Instead, the criticism should be that the UVA staff didn't report it immediately. Im assuming it was because they were afraid he would have to medically forfeit so they waited until the moment he lost the lead.
