Most top juniors and seniors are already committed - need to hit those sophomores hard as such. Mullen will be gone when current hs sophs are true college freshman and Sonny may be here one year (if he gets that medical for last year). In the near term I know it’s early, but Sergio got beat by one of the Minnesota backups (believe he was third on Minnesota depth chart) and Bullock did show good poise to pull out 2 wins over opponents I expected him to beat - but got absolutely destroyed in that Final (albeit to a pretty solid guy who has been trending for the last few years and is a legit AA contender this year). Ohio State continues to be a thorn in our side in upper/heavy weights. We sat in really good position with Waters at 190 at one point and they got him. Getting Tanner Hodgins (a jr) would certainly mitigate that as he is on the rise (believe he almost beat Waters the last time they wrestled). Singer would have been a great pull and we were doing pretty good there - but he was all Buckeyes after that visit. Our Coaches are doing great - need some stud upper weights and got to figure out how to develop our upper weights. IMO we’ve got some top line recruits who appear to have regressed over their time here/didn’t reach their potential (Catka, Mullen, Sasso). These guys came in with attacking/scoring point mentalities and we haven’t been able to get it to fully translate to college yet (obviously Hunter moved on). Mullen/Sasso are in their 3rd years in the program. Get Hodgins, maybe Konopka, Carini still available too, to go along with Rocha (and maybe a big HWT emerges in the current Soph HS class). And a replacement for Eddie - Rozas is pretty solid - and hopefully Keegan comes on Board! The Kenny Bros are out there too and probably slot at 125/133.
