Auto-bottom is bad. There are certain guys you should go neutral…

Griffith is one. Lovett. Starocci. Hendrickson. If Mekhi rode Griffith out, I’d say he should have taken bottom. I think neutral was the right call. There was a good chance Griffith rides him for at least 1:11. Then Mekhi is down 1 even with the escape and needs a takedown. If Mekhi gets out sooner, it is tied and he still needs a takedown in regulation or overtime. Go neutral and don’t waste your time and energy underneath. Just my opinion.
