They won before the tournament even started
Yeah, you've got to wrestle the matches, blah blah blah. 7 number 1 seeds is insurmountable. They won it on the recruiting trail, and yes, it's boring and bad for the sport for them to be so dominant. Things should be at least a little more interesting next year.
