Nah - this proves what is valued more. It's all about the NCAAs.
If NC State was in the Big 10 then sure Pop wins coach of the year for the regular season and conference tournament results....no question...but the ACC was pretty weak this year overall and having to beat 1 good/great team doesn't move the needle.
The tournament results are what really matters to folks and VT had a great tournament with a National Champion and 4 AAs. NC State did not have great results in KC and their one finalist got absolutely abused.
