Possibly selfishly! Love our guys that are wrestling and excited to see them in action. Will cheer and support like heck. But - it’s all about competing. We didn’t send a full squad to CKLV (held out at least 4 starters), and sent zero starters to the Scuffle. Less quality opportunities in a tourney style (good prep for March). Less times getting to see these guys compete against the best. We weren’t in the NWCA duals either (perhaps we weren’t invited this year so not our option). Perhaps the guys are tired (BA possibly injured) and timing Jan1/2 is tough coming off a break. Really don’t get a break if wrestling the Scuffle. Hope it doesn’t hurt anyone’s seed. Tough matches pay off in the long run - to be the best - have to beat the best! It’s a long season. I’m sure our awesome coaches are doing what is best for the guys. Go Hokies!
