Forest leads late, but gets out of position and Seidel capitalizes with TD and two NF sequence to flip the result and punch his ticket to the Finals. 149. (4) Collin Gaj vs. (1) Shayne Van Ness (Penn State) Loss 5-9 Gaj fights valiantly, but Van Ness’s "hammer" style and heavy top work neutralize Gaj’s scrambling. 197. (4) Sonny Sasso vs. (1) Josh Barr (Penn State) Win 6-4 The upset of the tournament. Sasso’s explosiveness catches Barr out of position twice. Sasso proves he belongs at the top of the weight class. In a gritty big man battle, a single escape and riding time advantage earn him a win over the veteran Elam. Medal Rounds 149. (4) Collin Gaj vs. (3) Cross Wasilewski (Penn), DEC 7-5. 3rd Place. Gaj bounces back from his semifinal loss with a high-paced performance, securing a late takedown in the 3rd period to take the bronze. 157. Miller ends his tournament on a high note, using his heavy hands to wear down Watters and secure a major decision-style victory to take 7th. 184.
