Way to win that one! but additional questions???
With UVA and Clemson beating Louisville and Dook, what does that mean in terms of NCAA bubble???? I know last update according to ESPN both Clemson and Virginia were last four in and VT was two spots above the last 4 in. Does this most likely mean that as of right now all three teams would most likely be in the tournament??? I know it doesn’t matter until the last Sunday I am just very intrigued on how much that affects the Hokies chances at the NCAA tournament or not at all. David?? Will??? People of the board what are your thoughts??? ** Edited by JerryLopez5 at 2/22/2026, 4:29:59 PM

IMO, VT is fine.
VT beat both, so I wouldn't think VT is hurt by either. Now, had VT lost to GT, it could've gotten a little dicey. But overall, I think it's good for the ACC. Clemson and Virginia were both last four in for ESPN's bracketology anyway. I think it might just solidify both of them even more. IMO, the only way VT would fall in some way would be if it lost to a bad team in the ACC Tournament — like if it's the No. 7 seed and loses to the No. 15, which would be like Wake Forest at the moment. Take care of the games you should and you're fine, and they have so far. Beat UVa and you're in for sure, I think.

Thanks David!
I also think it’s great for the ACC if we just get in as many teams as possible

Clemson winning helps VT's SOS. I think Clemson needs another win. Sched
I think the threshold to feel confident getting into the tournament is 20 wins. Right now Clemson has 19 wins, but they have 10 ACC wins. That helps. The more than Clemson, Syracuse, UVA win, the more VT's victories over them help. The ACC could get the following in depending on the next week. It might be 8-9 Duke Louisville UNC NC State Syracuse UVA - plays UNC and VT VT - plays UVA Clemson - plays Cal and Stanford ND - plays SMU tonight m then Syracuse and Louisville If UVA loses both remaining games, they finish 19-10. That is a bubble team. I think they have to win 1 more to be more confident If Clemson splits or beats both, they get to 20 wins and 10 ACC wins. That puts them in ND likely has to win all three to get in other than SOS, NET and sympathy vote. They could get to 10 ACC wins if they win 1. Cal does not get in even if defeats Miami and Clemson ** Edited by VAHokie89 at 2/22/2026, 4:43:23 PM

Both Clemson and uva currently have a better net ranking than us. Since we
beat both, it should only help in that respect. Another Q1 win at uva next week also boosts our status. ** Edited by Hokie`79 at 2/22/2026, 5:26:25 PM
