Sometimes certain coaches play such aggressive/physical defense that there could be a foul called every single play. They just leave it up to the refs if they want to call them. I thought Notre dame does this, Duke Women definitely does it, and a lot of SEC teams do it. Mens team like Houston are notorious for it St Johns men do it Duke men do it.
