Drawing 1-2 charges a game is not in and of itself an indicator of defense

It is about the 70 other defensive plays in the game. I am not saying she was a bad defender, but drawing charges its by itself not enough evidence. She actually could penetrate. Her strength was getting into the lane and getting opportunities for layups. She LIKELY could have gotten more if (a) we had better spacing and people got the hell out of her way and (b) there was not a big emphasis on Wenzel/Baker shooting. In theory, if Clemson has better spacing and better balance, she might get into the lane even more.
