Not really, If that was the case, baker and freelon would be

dominated all the time, and they are not. Freelon is able to hold her own against "average" bigger players because she works, uses her length, etc. She is prone to getting in foul trouble against "average" bigger players because she is not top-level 6'1" player. But to say that an average 6'5" player will beat the 6'2" all day everyday is just plain wrong. I saw Agara against UNC. I also saw Agara against other teams. I can see her scoring average. I have seen her play. So, she had a difficult game against a team. I am sure she will have others. There are games Kitley had issues. That does not mean a player is not good. She is also a freshman by the way. I am not saying that I don't want a 6'3, 6'4, 6'5 player. I am saying there are very good players who play around the basket in the ACC. There was the post that basically said there were none in the ACC. That is blatantly untrue. Of course, any given player is going to have badmatchups. If every quality post was going to dominate every game, then Texas's big or Audi Crooks would not have let their teams lose. What are we actually arguing about? That VT should not try to get a quality "big"? That a quality 6'2 or taller player can never be recruited? That there are NONE? ** Edited by VAHokie89 at 2/5/2026, 1:53:12 PM

Everyone wants one, but a dominant big would be so helpful right now.**

A "quality" inside/big would be nice. Not too many dominant.**
VAHokie89 02/04/26 03:58 PM ET
We all focus on"big", athleticism is first and foremost in my book

We had two bigs that were not athletic,we know how that worked out**
mrknowitall 02/04/26 05:04 PM ET
Sigh.. people who call for bigs don't want bums as bigs
VAHokie89 02/04/26 06:42 PM ET
We need size. We have athleticism
