The previous coach here talked about that two years ago.

VT was essentially talking with Matilda Ekh and Rose Micheaux while at the Final Four and was saying, "Hey, we want you to join our program, but we can't have you visit right now because we're at the Final Four." It's a great recruiting tool to have, and in most cases, it doesn't make that much of difference as far as adding talent. It can, however, make it difficult to really know what players on your own team are leaving. (For example, I think the number of Southern Cal players entering the portal was shocking considering how good of a year the team had.)
