I think the point about stronger screens is good
Our screens often seem casual for a lack of a better word. That isn't the right word. For example, our standard play is to pass into the high post and then the guard goes to the corner to set a screen. The corner player flashes up to potentially get a return pass from the post. We have seem fake screens, back door cuts, etc... But those screens are often just soft barriers, not really strong.
One difference between our screens and screens run by other teams we play is that
(a) other teams screen more to get the action going to the basket.
- Posts screen and roll looking for return passes into the lane.
- Guards cut off screens in the high post and move down the lane for a pass from the wing.
- Or guards use screens to get into the lane
(b) many of our screens are more so perimeter screens. We don't see many screen and rolls with looks to the post going inside. Last night we had a nice one between NElson and Freelon (I think it was Nelson). I think we need more of that (and then make sure we have good spacing).
I have seen that play alot, but it is rare that someone like Baker scores off it. The spacing helped where there was no one else beside Carleigb on that side bringin a defender to clog the passing lane. Normally, it might be a pick and pop for a shot outside.

Baker was a huge mismatch against Stanford's 4s playing in place of Agara
