Last year and early this year, if they played ugly they lost. As this season has progressed, they have learned how to win when calls aren’t going their way and shots aren’t falling. Coaching and game experience have both played a role. Things are looking up. I’ll also add that I think they need another scorer more than they need someone 6’6”. There is way too much pressure on Carleigh and Carys. Defenses can focus on the two of them, but they still feel pressure to score. Samyha has shown flashes, but she isn’t there yet. Give this team a 20 point a game scorer, coupled with the pressure defense and they’ll make the next step up.
