I think Beth will start Heavener today. She's 13-8 on the year . .
. . . but 11 of those wins are against unranked opponents. She does have an impressive outing versus Oklahoma but, overall, ranked teams have often beaten up her pretty good. She has good movement but makes lots of mistakes if given the opportunity.

Maybe, but she's only started back-to-back games twice all season
She did it against Ole Miss on 4/18 and 4/19, but only went two innings in the first game (gave up four earned runs) and one inning in the second game (gave up two earned runs) The other time she started back-to-back games was in Clearwater in February. She started against Nebraska (she went 3.2 innings, gave up 5 runs-only one earned) and Duke (7 innings, 10 hits, 5 earned runs). The other primary starter is San Diego State transfer Cece Cellura, who has started 15 games and is 8-5 with a 3.32 ERA. It will be interesting to see what she does. Let's Go Hokies!

Whoever they start in the circle
Let’s plate a few runs early and hit them out of the game. Getting off to a good start is such an advantage in these types of games. Go Hokies!
