Who hardly play out of state
I assume they were homies. Longwood still has the worst game announcers ever.

These guys weren't terrible. Remember Syracuse is the cradle of . .
. . of sports broadcasters including Bill Roth. I think the guys today were trying too hard to make something out of a tough assignment. It has to be tough to be homers for a team as hopeless as Syracuse. You have to try to find to find something positive. ** Edited by MidloHokie at 5/1/2026, 4:19:38 PM

Anyone that calls home plate a dish is an idiot.

Well there's this . . .
. . . The nickname “the dish” for home plate is generally credited to Damon Runyon, a colorful early 20th-century sportswriter and columnist. Runyon wrote extensively about baseball in the 1910s–1930s and had a knack for vivid slang and imagery. He’s widely believed to have popularized calling home plate “the dish” because of its flat, plate-like shape—an expression that stuck and is still used by broadcasters and writers today.
